SongKit is an AI-powered songbook application available for iOS devices, such as the iPhone and iPad. The app assists users in organizing, viewing, and editing their song sheets across all their devices seamlessly.

Among its features, SongKit enables users to easily modify and display songs with chords suitable for instruments like piano, guitar, bass, banjo, ukulele, and mandolin. It offers the ability to generate chord voicings for these instruments with precise control, including support for tablatures.

Utilizing musical intervals internally, SongKit ensures accurate musical computations, allowing users to transpose songs into any key without altering the musical essence of notes and chords. Its exclusive voicing engine can automatically transpose tabs and chord voicings.

The app incorporates a unique layout engine that includes features like automatic avoidance, line wrapping, and optimization of information density. Users can benefit from functions such as multiple columns, pagination, content-aware rescaling, customizable styles that are shareable among users, and the ability to export songs in professional-looking full-vector PDF formats.

Song editing is facilitated through a distinctive text-based view that supports natural lyric input, suggested chord additions, tablature insertion, drag-and-drop functionality for sections like choruses and verses, as well as inclusion of various musical symbols available within the app's library.

Noteworthy capabilities of SongKit include full multitasking support on the iPad, feature to save and reuse collections of chords, symbols, and tabs across different songs with automatic transposition possibilities.

Each song is treated as an individual file within the SongKit ecosystem, enabling users to conveniently organize their collection and easily sync via iCloud or share with friends. The app is also equipped with an AI-powered extension for effortless song imports from web browsers or other compatible applications.

Additional functionalities of SongKit encompass sharing chord collections, templates, musical instruments, as well as voicing generator configurations. The app currently offers support for various instruments in multiple keys, chord voicings generation for piano, guitar tabs and voicings (with or without capos), automatic tablature transposition, import capabilities from web pages and text files through Machine Learning techniques, support for ChordPro format, among various other advanced features such as thousands of SMUFL musical symbols.

Maintaining compatibility with custom fonts and providing multitasking abilities on iPad devices enhances the overall user experience. Users can benefit from features like Apple Pencil scribbling (beginning with iPadOS 14), export options to full-vector PDF files for professional use, seamless synchronization through iCloud services, while enjoying unlimited possibilities in terms of instruments set-up, voicing generator configurations, custom chords and voicings creation, layout styles personalization or chord collections.
